KARACHI: The petrol price has witnessed a hike of Rs 1.71 per litre, announced Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday.

iesel costs Rs 82 per litre, he added.
He said that there has been no change in th
e prices of kerosene oil and light d
iesel oil, but the value of kerosene oil has been rounded off. Th
e price of kerosene oil and light d
iesel is now Rs 44 per litre each.
The announcement comes a day after Oil and Gas regulatory authority (OGRA) submitted a proposal to the Minis
try of Petroleum and Natural Resources asking for an
increase in th
e prices of petroleum products.
OGRA had proposed a revision of Rs 17.55 and Rs 10.94 in th
e prices of kerosene oil and light d
iesel oil, respectively. It also requested for an additional
increase of Rs 2.96 per litre and Rs 2.18 per litre
increases in th
e price of petrol and high-speed diesel, respectivel
y.
